2011 season

Loughborough town cc enjoyed a successful 2011 with the 1st X1 winning the premier league over last years winners Market Harborough. Anish Patel topping the batting Averages at 45.22 scoring 814 runs and Chad Yates the bowling at 16.31 taking 26 wickets although Ollie Freckingham topped the wicket take with 33 wickets at an average of 20.7
They were losing finalists in the County cup losing to Market Harborough in the most exciting and closets final ever. Town made 160 for 9. Harborough managed to scramble 2 leg byes from the final ball to tie the scores and finish on 160-8 and win by losing fewer wickets.
We were successful in the Sunday League cup beating Leicester Ivanhoe in the final by just 5 runs in yet another exciting final. Town 247-9 Ivanhoe 242-7.
2nd X1 finished a creditable 7th in the 2nd division, and the 3rd X1 romped home in division 8 winning it by hugh margin of 113 points over 2nd placed Shepshed Messengers.
